What is Digital Citizenship?

Just found this whilst reading and thought it summed it up. Thank you Julie Lindsay and Vicki Davies ( Learning & leading with technology March/ April 2010)

“Digital citizenship is not about creating a list of things to do or a stagnant curriculum that you can use for the next ten years. It’s about transforming yourself into a professional who can effectively research technology trends, monitor the uses of technology in your school or district, avoid the fear factor that can easily paralyze you, and empower student-centred learning to create vibrant, exciting learning projects.”

Liked this poster and thought it was one of the reasons why we need virtual libraries; so everyone can access is given an opportunity to access information.
